If anyone is getting Invalid Code type error messages when trying to post, rather than write a long paragraph why some peoples browser settings aren't refreshing a new anti-spam code, just go to the following link. An updated anti-spam code will appear for you to type in, and it should work fine:

http://www.bhs1983.com/Guestbook/addentry.php

If the code looks too small to read, hit your browser refresh button and a new one will appear.

Bummer -- I'll miss the 25 year reunion! We'll be in Louisiana for my brother-in-law's wedding on 11/1. I was hoping to get back to CA for the 25, but I guess I'll have to wait another 5 years. Have a great time -- I'll miss catching up with everyone!

Hi Class of '83! Can't believe it's been 25 years.

My family has been living in London for 2 years now (time flies). Still make it up to Ridgecrest to visit my mom and dad, last time Thanksgiving. My brother, Greg, and his family still live in RC, niece goes to Burroughs and nephew goes to Murray.

Picture here is my son, Hunter, who is 7. He goes to a strict British school in Kensington-I figure we'd give it our best shot at keeping him out of trouble. He had a 100% attendance record for last term, something I was never able to accomplish at Burroughs (thanks Rita and Janice for passing me). He's been back in the OC for summer and within a few days his favorite word is "yo" - oh well, best intentions...

Great to hear that there is going to be a 25th, but unfortunately may not be able to make it due to a prior obligation at end of Oct.

Hope everyone is doing well and life is good. All my best to your families, if anyone does happen to make it over to London, look me up.

There haven't been any complaints in the last week regarding the Halloween issue, so therefore the date is going to stand. So no changing it from this point forward.

Hi Jim,

This is something we put a lot of thought into regarding the Halloween issue.....and it would've been great if BHS had chosen HC on another weekend.

After thinking about it, we made the calculation (and quite possibly a wrong one) that most of us at our age have kids that are old enoough that Halloween isn't a big deal anymore. In fact, it's more of a time when the parents go out and go to costume parties, etc. and it's not much of a kids thing any longer.

So we decided that a majority might even consider it a unique thing to have Halloween, the HC game and the Class of 82, 83 & 84 desert party all on that Friday night.

Jim, you're the first person to come forward and voice concern over this, and we appreciate your feedback. So let's quickly open this question to everybody...if you can't make it to the reunion because of Halloween, why don't you send me an email and we'll see how many people respond.

If we change the date, it better be super quick because people are going to start booking flights.

Thanks,
Mike

Mike, I think having the reunion the same weekend as Halloween is a big mistake. Most of us have kids which means the people that normally fly here and leave the kids at home can’t and the people who have to drive here won’t because their kids will be up to 12 on Friday and hung over. Those with kids who do come won’t go to the game because the kids are trick or treating. I think it would be best to focus on the reunion and not worry about the game which in the past has a good chance of moving anyways. My $ 0.02 . If we do have it Halloween I’m coming as an old fat ugly guy, I have any awesome costume I’ve been working on since 1983. - Jim
